The song revolves around the relationship between love and loss. Lyrically, Rod Wave sing-raps about his feelings of loneliness due to abandonment from a lover,[1] [2] over a guitar melody.[3] He interpolates "U.N.I." by Ed Sheeran in the middle of his verse.
The music video was released alongside the single, and centers on a couple that is in a strained relationship because the man is more interested in "running the streets" with his friends.
