Alexey Chesnakov (born September 1, 1970, Baku, Azerbaijan SSR) is a Russian political scientist and director of the Center for current policy (CCP).[1] He is the author of several publications dealing with the domestic and foreign policy of Russia.[2] Chesnakov has also served as Deputy Head of internal policy for the AdministrationPresident of the Russian Federation (2001–2008), as a member of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation (2009–2010), and Deputy Secretary-General of the United Russia political party (2012–2013). Since 2019, Chesnakov has been a professor at the Higher School of Economics.[3]
