Alexandra Mackenzie Pfeiffer (born November 26, 2007) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a forward for the Kansas City Current of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) and the United States national under-17 team. She was signed by the Current at age 15 in 2023.
Pfeiffer grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. She played youth soccer for St. Louis Scott Gallagher of the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL), winning under-16 national club title in 2022.[1]
Pfeiffer signed a three-year contract with the Kansas City Current through the NWSL Under-18 Entry Mechanism on October 30, 2023, at 15 years and 338 days old, becoming the fourth-youngest signing in NWSL history.[2] [3] She scored on her NWSL debut against the Portland Thorns on March 16, 2024, becoming the youngest scorer in NWSL history at 16 years, 3 months, and 20 days old.[3] In a match against the Houston Dash on June 28, Pfeiffer tore her ACL and meniscus in the second half, ending her rookie season[4] and making her unable to compete at the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup.[5]
Pfeiffer trained with the national youth program at the under-15, under-16, and under-17 levels.[2]
