Air Vice-Marshal Alastair Peter Thomas Smith is a senior Royal Air Force officer. He serves as commander, Joint Helicopter Command.

RAF career

Smith was commissioned into the RAF on 20 April 1990. After serving as commanding officer of RAF Shawbury,[1] he became Assistant Chief of Staff (Military Strategy and Defence Engagement) in August 2020 and commander, Joint Helicopter Command in March 2023.[2]
