Aktogay (kk|Ақтоғай) is a village in Aktogay District, Karaganda Region, Kazakhstan. It is the administrative center of the Aktogay District, as well as the only settlement of the Aktogay Rural District (KATO code - 353630100).[2] Population: [3]
In 1999, the population of the village was 4,186 people (2,140 men and 2,046 women). According to the 2009 census, 3,145 people lived in the village (1,568 men and 1,577 women).
At the beginning of 2019, the population of the village was 2,770 people (1,415 men and 1,355 women).[4]
Aktogay is located by the right bank of the Tokrau river, about 270km (170miles) southeast of Karaganda. The nearest railway station is Balkhash City, located 190km (120miles) to the south.[5] [6] [7] [8]
