Ahel (Persian: اهل) is a city in Eshkanan District of Lamerd County, Fars province, Iran.
History
There are documents show that this town can trace its origins to Sasanid or the Neo-Persian Empire of ancient Iran. Sorez Castle, the Water Mill, Qanat and Aqueduct are famous.
Demographics
Population
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the city's population was 2,797 in 606 households.[2] The following census in 2011 counted 2,940 people in 752 households.[3] The 2016 census measured the population of the city as 3,179 people in 839 households.[4]
