Afshan (ur|{{Nq|افشاں) is a 1981 Pakistani television series written by Fatima Surayya Bajia, based on the eponymous novel of Amtur Rahman Khatoon (better known as A.R. Khatoon), and directed by Qasim Jalali.[1]
The story is about a large family in which the elders decide the fate of their children, and the honour of their family is considered paramount above all else, even above their children's happiness.[2]
It marked Begum Khurshid Mirza's third collaboration with Fatima Surayya Bajia as she previously starred in Bajia's Shama (1976) and Aagahi.[4]
