Aegiale (mother of Alcyone) explained
Aegiale (mother of Alcyone) should not be confused with Aegiale (wife of Diomedes).
In Greek mythology, Aegiale (Greek, Ancient (to 1453);: Αἰγιάλη) was the mother of Alcyone by Aeolus, according to the mythographer Hyginus.[1] In other accounts, it is instead Enarete who is the mother of Alcyone by Aeolus.[2]
