The commune is situated in the southern part of the Wallachian Plain, on the banks of the Argeș River, at an altitude of . It is located in the central part of Giurgiu County, on the border with Ilfov County.
The national road DN5 connects Adunații-Copăceni to the county seat, Giurgiu, to the south, and to the capital city, Bucharest, to the north. The road branches off in a southeasterly direction towards Varlaam and Mogoșești villages, ending in Hotarele commune, where it reaches .
