McClure is the daughter of a Filipino immigrant.[2] McClure graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University.[3] She was executive director of the Virginia Legislative Black Caucus.[4]

Political career

She was elected to the Virginia House of Representatives in 2023 and took office in January 2024. Shortly after taking office, she proposed state legislation to implement single-stair reform as part of an effort to increase housing supply in Virginia.
