Adam Met Explained
Adam Met (Adam Brett Metzger) is a musician, activist, and academic from New York.
Musical career

Adam Met is the oldest of the AJR brothers.[1] He plays bass guitar and percussion in the band and also contributes vocals, programming, and samples.
Academic career
Adam Met holds a BA from Columbia University in business and philosophy,[2] an MA from New York University in Constitutional Religious Law, and a PhD in International Human Rights Law from the University of Birmingham.[3] He is an occasional faculty member in Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs.[4]
Sustainability and climate action
Adam Met is the founder and executive director of Planet Reimagined, a non-profit organization focused on promoting sustainability and climate action, for which he was included in TIME Magazine's TIME100 Climate list and received an Earth Award in 2024.[5] [6] He has received bipartisan support for his ideas to expand renewable energy production by sharing US federal land already earmarked for oil and gas production.[7] [8] [9]
Philanthropy
Adam Met has also been involved in various social media initiatives, including weekly Instagram Live streams called "Trivia for Good." In these streams, he would ask trivia questions and donate to charity based on the number of correct answers.
