List of Syrian detainees at Guantanamo Bay explained
The United States Department of Defense was holding a total of elevenSyrian detainees in Guantanamo.[1] A total of 778 suspects have been held in the Guantanamo Bay detention camps, in Cuba since the camps opened on January 11, 2002The camp population peaked in 2004 at approximately 660.

On July 31, State Security, one of Syria's numerous security agencies, seized Yusra al-Husayn at her house and took her into detention. She is the wife of Jihad Diab, a detainee at the US military base at Guantanamo Bay. | |
