Abandoned and dismantled railway lines in Pakistan explained

Following the Partition of India in 1947, Pakistan gained independence and inherited various railway lines with a route length of 8,122 kilometres (5,048 miles). Some of those lines were subsequently abandoned or dismantled, such as:
