Aa Okkati Adakku is a 1992 Indian Telugu-language comedy film written and directed by E. V. V. Satyanarayana, and produced by M. Saravanan and M. Balasubramaniam under the AVM Productions banner. It stars Rajendra Prasad, Rambha, and Rao Gopal Rao with the music composed by Ilaiyaraaja. The film is the debut of Rambha in the Telugu film industry.

The film was successful at the box office. It was remade in Hindi as Mr. and Mrs. Khiladi (1997)[1] and in Kannada as Bal Nan Maga.

Plot

The film begins with a loaf, Atukula Chittibabu, with a highly educated genius who keeps immense faith in fortune and astrology. Plus, he gets strayed by an astrologer named Poompuhar Devagna Sarma, proclaiming that he has Rajayogam, i.e., after one year, he will be King. Chittibabu resides with his mother & sister Kunti. The sibling constantly nags him to conduct her espousal; if not, she will elope with someone to wake her brother's idle brain. Besides, Geddala Ganga Raju / Royyala Naidu, a big tycoon, is a self-made entrepreneur who still maintains his old uniform as a plebeian. He detests sluggards and declares to knit his only daughter, Rambha, to a striver, though poor.

Once, Chittibabu secures Rambha from the bullies when a lizard falls on him. Forthwith, he rushes to Poompuhar, who states that imminent risk is inevitable to him by a virgin girl. Predictably, Chitti Babu becomes an accident victim of Rambha's car, and she crushes on him. Accordingly, Rambha offers a post to Chitti Babu in their company, which he dismisses as below dignity but walks on Kunti's pester. Chittibabu brags with Royyala Naidu therein, and a rift arises between them. Rambha proposes Chittibabu, which he denies due to his unrealistic supremacy. So, she notifies her father of it. Despite initial disapproval, he vows to do it when Rambha tries to be self-sufficient.

Now, Royyala Naidu traps Poompuhar and puts Rambha's horoscope in his favor. Spotting it, Chittibabu speeds with a pledge to wed, but Royyala Naidu stipulates reverse dowry be accorded. Hence, Chittibabu invites a vast mob of known & unknown to the venue and schemes to accumulate the amount via gifts. Gazing at it, Royyala Naidu counterstrikes after accomplishing the celebration. He also bars their first night until payoff and tells Chittibabu by Poompuhar that he will not excel in his Rajayogam as long as they consummate. Ergo seeks to reach Rambha in several ways but in vain. Upon pleading, Royyala Naidu provides four installments provision. Hereupon, Chittibabu turns into a con and artfully swindles the many, such as selling a goat as it can speak, looting a loan as a blind, etc. However, the fraud gets exposed when Royyala Naidu kicks him off.

Eventually, Royyala Naidu mortifies Chittibabu's mother at the behest of the occasion. Enraged, he divorces Rambha when Royyala Naidu announces his daughter's re-nuptial. Hearing it, Chittibabu collapses and defends, not letting it happen. Royyala Naidu opened up a chance that he would cancel the splice if Chittibabu cleared his debt just before. Parallelly, Kunti earns that cash by accepting to tie the knot with an old man when a transformation occurs in Chittibabu after soul-searching. Thus, he sets foot to make his fortune, for all his efforts fail. Whereat, he encounters a cloth mill while attempting suicide since his business is under bankruptcy. Chittibabu triumphs the company into massive profits with his wit by creating new designs, which ends hilariously. Within no time, Chittibabu gains the riches and moves to the function hall, where he is startled to view Kunti as a bride. At last, he learns about Royyala Naidu's eminence, who made this play reform. Finally, the movie ends happily with Chittibabu & Rambha's union.
