Abu Bakar Dahlan (born 10 October 1930), better known by the abbreviated name A. B. Dahlan, is an Indonesian screenwriter known for his works with Perfini.

Abu Bakar Dahlan was born on 10 October 1930, in Batusangkar, Dutch East Indies. He completed high school education.

Personal life

As of 1979, Dahlan has resided at Rawa Jeruk Street in West Tebet, South Jakarta.

Career

Dahlan started his career by working as a screenwriter for Perfini production films such as Sengketa (1957) and Tjambuk Api (1958). Afterwards, he wrote a script for a documentary film and advertisement for Informasi Media Indonesia from 1975 to 1978, as well as for Duta Cendana Film in 1977.
