The 2025 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup (Arabic: كأس العالم للسيدات تحت 17 سنة المغرب 2025) (French: Coupe du Monde Féminine U-17 de la FIFA Maroc 2025) will be the 9th edition of the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup, the international women's youth football championship contested by the under-17 national teams of the member associations of FIFA. It will be hosted by Morocco. It will be the first FIFA tournament ever hosted by Morocco. It will also be the first time the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup to be held in Africa and the second Arab country to host it after Jordan in 2016. It will also be the first edition to feature 24 teams and played annually.[1]
Morocco was announced as the 2025–2029 Women's U-17 World Cup hosts following the FIFA Council meeting on 14 March 2024 in Zürich, Switzerland.[2]
Talks of a possible change in frequency of the tournament were first unveiled at a FIFA meeting in Doha in December 2022. After the 2023 FIFA Congress in Kigali, FIFA's plans to change the frequency of the U-17 Women's World Cup from biannually to annually was officially confirmed.
On 14 March 2024, FIFA decided to expand the tournament to 24 teams.[3] On 15 May 2024, the slot allocation was officially confirmed.[4]
TBD.
A total of 24 teams qualify for the final tournament. In addition to Morocco who qualified automatically as hosts, the other 23 teams qualify from six separate continental competitions.
