Local elections will be held in the province of Batangas on May 12, 2025, as part of the 2025 general election. Voters will select candidates for all local positions: a town mayor, vice mayor and town councilors, as well as members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, the vice-governor, governor and for the six districts of Batangas.

Gubernatorial election

Incumbent Hermilando Mandanas who was elected in 2016 is now on his third consecutive and sixth non-consecutive term as governor of Batangas and is ineligible for reelection. Among those who announced their intention for the governorship is incumbent Mataasnakahoy Vice Mayor Jay Ilagan, after his reelection in 2022. Former party-list representative of 1st Consumer Alliance for Rural Energy (1-CARE) and former mayor of Padre Garcia Michael Angelo Rivera also expressed his intention to run for governor. A member of the Nacionalista Party, Rivera is also endorsed by former senator, former congressman and current Secretary of Finance Ralph Recto. Another candidate is Walter Ozaeta, who is currently the barangay captain of Barangay Poblacion IV was endorsed by the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas as its gubernatorial candidate. Incumbent vice governor Mark Leviste also decided to run for governor, as he and incumbent governor Mandanas will switch places but if Santos-Recto decide to run as governor, he will give way and run as vice-governor for his third and last term.

Vice gubernatorial election

Mark Leviste is on his second and fifth non-consecutive term and is eligible for a third and sixth non-consecutive term. In an interview with Brigada News FM Batangas, he confirmed that he and incumbent governor Hermilando Mandanas will switch places as governor and vice governor in 2025. Leviste served as vice governor from 2007 to 2016 and again, since 2019. Leviste previously ran for governor in 2016, but lost to Mandanas. Leviste also said that Mandanas is expressing his desire to be appointed by president Bongbong Marcos as the country's Executive Secretary. If this will push through and Santos-Recto decide to run as governor, Leviste will run for his third and final term and that he will have another gubernatorial candidate as his running mate.
