2024 in Canadian television explained

The following is a list of events affecting Canadian television in 2024. Events listed include television show debuts, finales, cancellations, and channel launches, closures and rebrandings.

6Eastlink ends their dispute with Corus Entertainment and re-adds the channels back on some new Theme Packs, TiVo Classic customers just got the combination of HGTV, Food Network, W Network, Showcase and History.
10Rogers Sports & Media inks new multi-year deals with Warner Bros. Discovery and NBCUniversal, resulting in several established television channels, including HGTV Canada, Food Network Canada, Discovery Canada, and other lifestyle and factual channels, being lost by competitors Corus Entertainment and Bell Media. Slice will also cease to air content from the US TV channel Bravo as part of these changes. Corus and Bell said that their respective separate deals for Cartoon Network/Adult Swim content and HBO content aren't affected by this change.[3]

7The Canadian Football League will return to over-the-air television in Canada for the first time in 17 years with a package of Saturday afternoon contests on CTV.[4] [5]
