The 2024 United States Senate election in Utah will be held on November 5, 2024, to elect a member of the United States Senate to represent the state of Utah. Republican congressman John Curtis and Democratic skier Caroline Gleich are seeking their first term in office. The winner will succeed Republican incumbent Mitt Romney, who is not seeking a second term.[1]
At the Utah Democratic convention on April 27, Gleich won the nomination with 92.5% of the first ballot. Curtis won the Republican nomination in the June 25 primary with 49% of the vote over Riverton mayor Trent Staggs and former state House speaker Brad Wilson.[2] Democrats have not held a Senate seat in Utah since 1977.
