The 2024 Tennessee House of Representatives election was held on November 5, 2024, to elect 99 seats for the Tennessee House of Representatives. The elections coincided with the Presidential, U.S. Senate, U.S. House, and State Senate elections. The primary election was held on August 1, 2024.[1]
In the 2020 presidential election in Tennessee, Republican Donald Trump won 74 State House districts, while Democrat Joe Biden won 25 districts.
Leading up to the 2024 State House elections, Democrats did not hold any districts that Trump had won. Conversely, Republicans held a district that Biden had carried in 2020: District 97 in Memphis, where Biden won with a 5.1% margin.
Seven incumbents did not seek re-election.
Two incumbent representatives, both Republicans, were defeated in the August 1 primary election.
