The 2024 Nevada Democratic presidential primary was held on February 6, 2024, as part of the Democratic Party primaries for the 2024 presidential election. 48 delegates to the Democratic National Convention were allocated to presidential candidates.[1]
President Joe Biden won the Nevada primary in a landslide and received all 36 delegates.
Under the Democratic Party's 2024 calendar that was released in February 2023, Nevada's race was scheduled to be held concurrently with the New Hampshire's as the second contests in the primaries, following the South Carolina primary on February 3. However, New Hampshire set its date for January 23, 2024, in accordance with its state law which requires that New Hampshire hold the nation's first primary.[2] [3] [4]
The filing deadline for the Nevada primary was on October 16, 2023. The office of the Secretary of State of Nevada published the list of qualified Democratic candidates on October 20:[5]
