2024 Busley army base attack explained
On March 23, 2024, the Somali Armed Forces base of Busley in Lower Shabelle was attacked by Al-Shabaab insurgents killing 57 soldiers and ten insurgents[1]
Following an intense shootout with security forces, Al Shabaab fighters were able to capture the base temporarily until it was recaptured soon after.[2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7]
