Pre-season and friendlies

On 3 July, the Brewers announced their pre-season schedule, with friendly matches against Port Vale, Buxton and Morecambe.[44]

FA Cup

Burton Albion were drawn at home to Scarborough Athletic in the first round[46] [47] and then to Tamworth in the second round.[48] [49]

EFL Cup

On 27 June, the draw for the first round was made, with Burton being drawn at home against Blackpool.[50]

EFL Trophy

In the group stage, Burton were drawn into Southern Group F alongside Northampton Town, Notts County and Leicester City.[51] [52] In the round of 32, Burton were drawn at home against Stevenage.[53] [54]
