The 2024–25 LIU Sharks men's basketball team represents Long Island University in the 2024–25 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Sharks, led by third-year head coach Rod Strickland, play their home games at the Steinberg Wellness Center in Brooklyn, New York as members of the Northeast Conference (NEC).
The Sharks finished the 2023–24 season 7–21, 6–10 in NEC play, to finish in seventh place. As the No. 7 seed, they were defeated by No. 2 seed Merrimack in the quarterfinals of the NEC tournament.[1]
The Northeast Conference released its preseason coaches' poll on October 24, 2024. The Sharks were picked to finish fifth in the conference.[2]

Redshirt junior guard Malachi Davis was selected as a member of the NEC Preseason All-Conference Team.[3]
