The 2024–25 Dallas Mavericks season will be the 45th season for the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA). They will look to return to the NBA Finals following last season's 4–1 series exit to the Boston Celtics.

The Mavericks entered this draft with a second-round pick.[1] [2] Hukporti was traded on draft day to the New York Knicks with the draft rights to Petteri Koponen and cash considerations in exchange for the draft rights to Melvin Ajinça.[3]
