The men's singles competition of the 2023 World Table Tennis Championships was held from 20 to 28 May 2023.[2] The event was played as a straight knockout. All singles matches were best of 7 games.

By making the final, Fan Zhendong retained the ITTF no. 1 singles ranking. Wang Chuqin and Ma Long were also in contention for the ITTF no. 1 singles ranking.
