The 2022–23 Greek A Division is the 34th season of the women's football top-level league in Greece. PAOK won their 9th consecutive title and their 18th overall.
The Greek A Division for the 2022–23 season will be held in 2 groupsof 8 teams, 16 teams in total. The separation of the teams into these groups will take place based on geographical criteria.
The league will be held in two phases: the first phase will be the regular season and the second phase will be a play-off round.
After the final ranking of the teams of Phase 1, the teams that willoccupy the first 3 positionsin each of the two groups will competein play-off matches to crown a champions for the 2022–23 season.
At the end of the season, 6 teams will be relegated to the Greek B Division, four of which directly and twoafter play-out matches. After the final ranking of the teams of the regular season, the teams that will occupythe 7th and 8th place (the last two places) in each of the two groups will be directly relegated to the second tier for the2023–24 season. Also, the teams that will occupy the 4th, 5th and 6th place at the and of Phase 1 in each of the two groups will compete in a play-out group, for the relegation of two more teams to the second division.[1]
