Incumbent mayor Tom Tate was re-elected with more than 66% of the vote after preference distribution. The Queensland Greens, Civil Liberties & Motorists Party and Animal Justice Party formally endorsed candidates, while Labor and the LNP did not (although several members contested as independents).[2]
