2014 FIVB Women's Volleyball World Championship qualification (CAVB) explained

The CAVB qualification for the 2014 FIVB Women's Volleyball World Championship saw member nations compete for two places at the finals in Italy.^[1]

Draw

42 CAVB national teams entered qualification (10 teams later withdrew). The teams were distributed according to their geographical positions.^{[2] [3]}

• Pool I later merged with Pool H after Rwanda and Sudan pulled out of the competition. Egypt and Ethiopia, which were the other two teams in Pool I, joined other teams in Pool H.

Final round

The draw for the final round of competition was held in Cairo on 9 October 2013. The top two FIVB ranked teams Algeria and Kenya headed the pools.^[4]
