The 2009 FIRA-AER Women's Sevens – Division A tournament was held from 4 to 5 July in Bruges, Belgium.[1] [2] Finland were crowned champions after their win over Czechia in the Cup final and were promoted to the FIRA-AER Women's Sevens Championship for 2010.
Twelve teams competed in the tournament. Belgium B replaced Lithuania.
