2008 Sony Ericsson Open – Women's singles explained
Defending champion Serena Williams defeated Jelena Janković in the final, 6–1, 5–7, 6–3 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2008 Miami Open. It was her fifth Miami Open title, tying Steffi Graf's record.[1]
