2006 Kremlin Cup – Women's singles explained

Anna Chakvetadze defeated Nadia Petrova in the final, 6–4, 6–4 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2006 Kremlin Cup.

Mary Pierce was the reigning champion, but did not compete this year.
