Offseason

November 16, 1999: Izzy Molina was signed as a free agent by the Royals.^[1]
December 10, 1999: Doug Bochtler was signed as a free agent with the Kansas City Royals.^[2]
December 17, 1999: Scott Service was released by the Royals.^[3]
January 27, 2000: Ricky Bottalico was signed as a free agent by the Royals.^[4]
March 7, 2000: Gregg Zaun was sent to the Royals by the Detroit Tigers as part of a conditional deal.^[5]

June 28, 2000: Pitcher Jay Witasick threw exactly three pitches and recorded three outs.^[6] This was accomplished in the second inning.
