1998 Family Circle Cup – Singles Explained

Amanda Coetzer defeated Irina Spîrlea in the final, 6–3, 6–4 to win the singles tennis title at the 1998 Family Circle Cup.

Martina Hingis was the reigning champion, but did not compete that year.
