(The first 12 riders in each event receive points according to the following scale: 50, 35, 25, 20, 18, 16, 14, 12, 10, 8, 6, 5. To appear in the final ranking, however, the riders must have participated in six of the 10 rounds of the competition. There is also a team ranking. It is established on the basis of points (1 point for first, 12 for twelfth, 30 for thirtieth, etc.) awarded to the first three in each group. The top 10 teams in this classification will be awarded 12, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 points respectively. To be classified at the end of the season, the groups will have had to participate in nine of the 10 World Cup races.).
