The 1984–85 snooker season was a series of snooker tournaments played between July 1984 and May 1985. The following table outlines the results for the ranking and the invitational events.

New professional players

The World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association (WPBSA) accepted the following players as professionals. Lou Condo was readmitted after having allowed his WPBSA membership to lapse. Tony Drago was also accepted, but he informed the Association that he had not wanted his application to be progressed and so was not included.[1] Thirteen players had their applications rejected, including Terry Whitthread, Joe O'Boye, Steve Meakin, Barry West, and Dave Gilbert.[1]
