The 1983 World Table Tennis Championships – Swaythling Cup (men's team) was the 37th edition of the men's team championship.^{[1] [2]}

China won the gold medal defeating Sweden 5–1 in the final. Hungary won the bronze medal.^{[3] [4] [5] [6]}
