The draw comprised 32 teams of which eight were seeded. Pavel Složil and Raúl Ramírez were the defending U.S. Pro Tennis Championships doubles champions but did not compete together in this edition. The eighth-seeded team of Craig Wittus and Steve Meister won the title by defeating the unseeded team of Freddie Sauer and Schalk van der Merwe in the final, 6–2, 6–3.[1]
