The 1973–74 Santosh Trophy was the 30th edition of the Santosh Trophy, the main State competition for football in India. It was held in Ernakulam, Kerala. Kerala won the Santosh Trophy for the first time beating Railways 3–2 with their captain Mani scoring all the three goals.[1]

Kerala drew with Manipur and defeated Delhi and Karnataka (4–3) in the league, defeated Andhra Pradesh 5–1 in the quarter-final and Maharashtra 2–1 in the semifinal.[1]
