Philadelphia's picks at the 1970 NHL Amateur Draft, which was held at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montreal on June 11, 1970.[28] The Flyers were without a first-round draft pick due to having traded it three years previously to the Boston Bruins for Rosaire Paiement.[29] The Bruins used the pick, fourth overall, to select Rick MacLeish, who the Flyers would acquire seven months later in a trade with the Bruins.
