1866 Aberdeenshire by-election explained

The 1866 Aberdeenshire by-election was fought on 15 May 1866. The by-election was fought due to the resignation of the incumbent Conservative MP, William Leslie. It was won by the Scottish Liberal Party candidate William Dingwall Fordyce.[1]
