Šaratice is a municipality and village in Vyškov District in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 1,100 inhabitants.

Šaratice lies approximately 22km (14miles) south-west of Vyškov, 17km (11miles) south-east of Brno, and 204km (127miles) south-east of Prague.

History

The first written mention of Šaratice is from 1209.[2]

Economy

Šaratice is known for the production of the mineral water Šaratica with laxative effects. The water is bottled since 1896.[3]
