Świerklany Górne (pronounced as /pl/) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Świerklany, within Rybnik County, Silesian Voivodeship, in southern Poland.[1]

Location

It lies approximately 4km (02miles) south-east of Jankowice Rybnickie, 80NaN0 south of Rybnik, and 400NaN0 south-west of the regional capital Katowice.

History

The village was first mentioned in a Latin document of Diocese of Wrocław called Liber fundationis episcopatus Vratislaviensis from around 1305 as item in Swrklant debent esse XXIII) mansi.[2] [3]
